Kandidatong Pupol (1961) stars the classic tandem of Philippine comedies, Dolphy and Panchito. It tells the story of 4 candidates vying for the position of Town's Mayor. Dolphy of Partido Lagay, Panchito of Partido Bigay Nang Bigay, Patsy of Partido Mabuhay and Horacio Morelos of Partido Unang Sigaw. The film also stars Lilian Laing, Greg Martin and Jean Lopez. This is vintage Dolphy at its finest.

Lino Brocka's Classic Film - INSIANG (1976)

Insiang is a 1976 Filipino drama film from the late director Lino Brocka, adapted from the teleplay of the same name by Mario O'Hara (who also co-written the screenplay), which tells of a young poverty-ridden woman who seeks revenge for those who have ruined her life. The film stars Hilda Koronel, Mona Lisa, Ruel Vernal and Rez Crotez. Insiang is the first Filipino film to enter the Cannes Film Festival.

MAYNILA: SA MGA KUKO NG LIWANAG - classic Filipino film directed by the late Lino Brocka, stars then-newcomer Bembol Roco and Brocka-regular Hilda Koronel, followed by a supporting cast of Lou Salvador, Juling Bagabaldo, and Tommy Yap. The movie's cinematography is by Brocka's protegè Mike de Leon (as Miguel de Leon)

Maynila is a classic example of a film that presents the poverty and filthiness of the city. It tells the story of a poor teenage fisherman, Julio (Bembol Roco), whose quest is to travel all the way to the jungles of the metropolitan city of Manila to search for his long lost love, Ligaya (Hilda Koronel).
