HBO SPORTS Presents 24/7 - MANNY PACQUIAO vs. OSCAR DE LA HOYA - EPISODE 1 - VIDEO

HBO Sports energizing and hyping the 'Dream Match' fight between Filipino sensation Manny Pacquiao and Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya in a series of boxing highlights, insights, morning activities, training routines of the two boxers called '24/7' and culminating into the main event on Dec. 6, 2008. The sight of Freddie Roach working the mitts with Manny is a sight to behold, the belief of Angelo Dundee (Muhammad Ali's former trainer) that Oscar is 'the better fighter' is amusing. Episode 1 is the best episode I've seen so far wonderfully done by HBO staffs...

Here's Episode 1 of HBO's 24/7

Trivia: Angelo Dundee was at Muhammad Ali's corner in 'Thrilla in Manila', the referee of this classic fight was Carlos Padilla, Jr....Come Dec. 6, 2008 Angelo Dundee will be at the corner of Oscar de la Hoya while Carlos Padilla, Jr's grand-daughter will sing the Philippine National Anthem.

OLEA BROTHERS : New Comic Duo in YouTube - Lipsyncs "HINDI AKO BAKLA" (Michael V.) in Project Moymoy Palaboy - Comedic Video

A lot of comical lipsyncing videos have been sprouting out in YouTube which is obviously inspired by the wacky duo Moymoy Palaboy and Roadfill. One particular video that actually stood out (in my opinion) is the new duo in YouTube called the OLEA BROTHERS. Their comical rendition of 'Hindi Ako Bakla' (Michael V.) under the title 'Project Moymoy Palaboy' is an uncanny resemblance in the performance and the timing of Moymoy and Roafill. The editing, the pacing, the 'script' and the bonus blooper in the end of the video is well worth watching it again and again. Here's the video courtesy of Olea24

PATRICK GARCIA Wants to see his son AJ Mercado but mother JENNYLYN won't let him - Video November 26, 2008

Jennylyn Mercado had repeatedly refused to allow Patrick Garcia to visit their child. In several media interviews, Mercado mentioned that she was the only parent of AJ and that she intends to raise him alone.

AJ carries the family name “Mercado” in his birth certificate.

Garcia and Mercado parted ways a few months after the actress announced her pregnancy in January. Reports said the separation was due to endless bickering over several matters, including rumors that Mercado’s ex-boyfriend and screen partner Mark Herras, not Garcia, was the father of the child. Mercado had stated Garcia was the father.

Being man enough to accept his responsibilities is one marking of a great man but to run away from his responsibilities is an act of a cowardly immature boy..just my thoughts!

MANNY PACQUIAO Cover on READER's DIGEST Asia December 2008 Issue

I am not a regular subscriber of Reader's Digest but I have bought two issues this year, first was the RD September 2008 issue with funnyman Michael V. on the cover and now, the MANNY PACQUIAO cover. I just bought my copy today at 7-11 Airport Road branch, Baclaran near my clinic.

"Here is the fearless dynamo, the Mexicutioner, the Destroyer, Pacman, the People's Champ, a man so wild in the ring that he's constantly had to move up weight classes just to find boxers who can endure his lightning-fast punches."

It's a good read specially Manny's own words in his rise from poverty to boxing hero. Now on Sale in all bookstores and 7-11 outlets.
