Jukebox Queen of the 70s & 80s DIDITH REYES DEAD at 60

I remember Didith Reyes' accidental breast exposure when she was performing a song onstage way back. She was indeed a Jukebox queen, countless plays of 'Araw-Araw Gabi-Gabi', 'Nananabik' and 'Bakit Ako Mahihiya' were heard almost everyday at carinderias near our school canteen in high school. She was on top of the world when she won the Gold prize and won Best Performer in the Tokyo Music Festival which she bested Morris Albert, composer of the song 'Feelings'. All the glamour and attention were on Didith Reyes until she declined in popularity in later stage of her life which eventually led her to alcohols and drugs. She was found dead inside a shanty house in Binan, Laguna yesterday. Typical stories such as Didith Reyes' would fit in 'Real Hollywood Stories'

Here's a video from Unang Hirit which I recorded yesterday morning, it's only now that I found time to post this in my blog because I was busy recording news video of Manny Pacquiao's arrival in the Philippines yesterday
