We visited the Manila Ocean Park for the umpteenth time located at the back of the Quirino Grandstand, Aug 29, 2010.
We have seen all of the attractions inside the park namely the Acquatica Musical Fountain, the Jellies Jelly Fishes, the Oceanarium, Fish Spa, the Glass Bottom ride etc.
What really caught my fancy is the soon-to-open Marine Life Habitat. I have googled it but alas there's not a single bit of info I could find even on the Manila Ocean Park website.
Based on the photo, it seems that it would comprise of live sea lions or seals similar to the ones seen at Ocean Park Hong Kong! now that could be exciting, no longer have to travel by plane just to see similar attraction.

We saw KATAS NG SAUDI (2007) last night. Oscar (Jinggoy Estrada), an OFW finally comes home after 10 years in Saudi Arabia and finds that coming home is harder than he thought it would be. He has to reconnect with his children who have all grown without him, and readapt to a lifestyle that includes his family.
The film, directed by Jose Javier Reyes, is devoid of the usual cheek slappings and the overdramatizations to the point of overacting as seen in some local movies. Instead, the film is a natural bringing sympathy and understanding to the main character touchingly played by Jinggoy Estrada.
Surprisingly, Jinggoy delivered one of the touching performance without relegating to an overly dramatic fashion. Amusingly, Jinggoy has the same style and mannerism of his daddy Erap but somehow the film brought out a subtle talent making Jinggoy Estrada a fine league of his own.
Subtle humor is intact in this incredibly fine film with a bittersweet ending. My ratings: 5 out of 5 Biscuits !
Manila Zoo in the Philippines has a new attraction or should I say, a new specie. Presenting HEBRA or ZORSE, it's half horse and half zebra born from a female zebra and a male horse. The Hebra is currently attracting visitors to the Philippines' oldest zoo in Manila.

Today August 16, 2010 is the 33rd Death Anniversary of the King ELVIS PRESLEY. I am a fan of the King since the 1970s. I used to watch Elvis Presley movies in the 1960s when I was in my grade school days by way of my mother who is a die-hard Elvis fan. It's only in the early 1970s when I started to appreciate those Elvis Presley songs. I also remember my father who recorded the TV audio via a casette tape of Elvis Aloha From Hawaii which was televised live via satellite way back in 1973. Heck, I also remember seeing Elvis Presley on TV who was into karate taking up karate lessons during the popularity of the legendary Bruce Lee way back in 1973-1975. Sad news of Elvis Presley's death on Aug. 16, 1977 when I was in my 2nd year in college taking up my pre-med course (B.S. Chemistry). I still have vinyl records of Elvis Presley up to this day even though I don't have the record player to play it.

First controversy involving ex-Pagcor Chairman Efraim Genuino was the alleged 21M worth of McDonalds burgers and chicken for the PNP consumed for 8 days. This was cleared when McDonalds issued a statement that it was indeed 21M worth of foods that were ordered by Pagcor officials but it was consumed for 6 months.
Here's another controversy that hounds Mr. Efraim Genuino - 10,000 rice sacks that were donated by Japanese investors of Pagcor City were allegedly used by Mr. Efraim Genuino for his two son's campaign during the May 2010 elections.
