Rep. MANNY PACQUIAO Awarded CONGRESSIONAL MEDAL OF DISTINCTION in Philippine Congress (Margarito Aftermath) - Nov. 22, 2010

Manny Pacquiao earned his 8th world title in eight different weight divisions when he won over Mexican Antonio Margarito via a unanimous 12-round decision. The pound-for-pound King is set to earn a whopping guaranteed fight purse of US$15 million and an estimated US$5 million in pay-per-view (PPV) share, according to international boxing sites.

In the Philippine Congress, Saranggani Representative Manny Pacquiao is awarded another title from fellow congressmen upon his return. House Majority Leader Neptali “Boyet” Gonzales II announced that Congressman Pacquiao was awarded his second Congressional Medal of Distinction from the House of Representatives. The recognition is the highest award that Pacquiao can receive from Lower House of Congress. The Filipino boxing hero has been given the same award during the 14th Congress.
