Remembering MICHAEL JACKSON's Visit to the PHILIPPINES in 1976 by EDDIE ILARDE - July 6, 2009

Today's generation might not know it, Michael Jackson had visited the Philippines 3 times already.

Michael first visited the Philippines in the late 1960s when they were known as the Jackson 5 with his brothers.

Michael's 2nd visit was in 1976 also with his brothers which held a concert at the Araneta Coliseum. The group also visited GMA Studios in a noontime program called Student Canteen hosted by Eddie Ilarde, the late Helen Vela, Coney Reyes and the late Bobby Ledesma.

Michael Jackson's 3rd visit to the Philippines was on Dec 7-9, 1996.
