Some snapshots of the video
I remember way back in 1975 during the Thrilla in Manila event, Imelda Marcos and Ferdinand Marcos considered Muhammad Ali as their personal friend. The Thrilla in Manila was held at the Araneta Coliseum in the morning of October 1, 1975 which was beamed via satellite in the U.S. (evening June 30, 1975). Of course that bout was introduced by Joe Cantada and was refereed by Carlos Padilla. I was 15 years old then, cool huh? I remember a button and a tshirt with the Thrilla in Manila printed on it with Ali and Frazier's face inked in maroon, still very vivid in my memory, also saw newly arrived Muhammad Ali waving at us at Dewey Boulevard..we were on our way to school then. Joe Frazier stayed at the Hyatt Regency hotel at Dewey Blvd (of course it's now Roxas Blvd) while Ali stayed at the Manila Intercontinental Hotel. Also remembered Ali brought his concubine in Manila while his legal wife followed him here in the Philippines hehehe. Those were the good ol' days.
