Another Star Wars repackaging did you say ? Not that I am complaining, man, I love Star Wars. I drink and breathe Star Wars. But another repacking ? no way ?!, yes way ! *gulp*
Returning to store shelves on November 4th are the six episodes of the Star Wars saga on DVD bundled in convenient trilogy sets. Perfect for gift-giving as the holidays approach, the Prequel Trilogy set includes Episodes I-III, while the Star Wars Trilogy includes Episodes IV-VI.
*relief*, oh okay...Fans who already own the prequel trilogy double-disc releases (released from 2001-2005) and the Star Wars trilogy double-disc releases (released in 2006) already have all the content that's available in this set. There's nothing new in this set you don't already have. But for friends and family still looking to fill in these gaps in their DVD collections, these sets make it easy and affordable to complete the saga.
For the love of Star Wars, I have owned almost all Star Wars format there is. Let's see...I got the Star Wars trilogy that was released in 1977, 1980 and 1983 in VCD format. Got the Star Wars Special Edition Trilogy (released in 1997) in VHS format, Got the Prequel Trilogy that was released in 1999, 2002 and 2005 in VCD and DVD format. Then I got the another Star Wars Trilogy in another 'special editon' that linked the prequels with the original trilogy in DVD format...whew !!
