BOB ARUM : "MANNY PACQUIAO Doesn't Owe Anything to the WBC" - Video November 10, 2008

In the event the WBC Champion fights in a higher weight class, or in a lower weight class in a bout in which his title is not also at stake, the champion must pay the WBC 50% of the WBC Sanction fee. That's what Manny Pacquiao did, moved up in weight in a non-tile bout with Oscar De la Hoya and now the WBC says "pay the sanction fee or you'll be stripped of the WBC title".

Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum says that Manny Pacquiao already paid the sanctioning fees to the WBC and they got the receipt to prove it. Watch the video from 24 Oras which aired November 10, 2008
