DCRJ's Movie Reviews: STAR WARS - THE CLONE WARS
We saw 'STAR WARS: The Clone Wars' at the SM Mall of Asia. I, being a tremendous fanatic of the Star Wars franchise, was disappointed and excited at the same time when we saw the film in all its digital form. Excited because it's a new Star Wars movie, the old familiar Star Wars theme music by John Williams embedded with new instrumental is crisp, familiar characters are back and surprising to hear the actual voices of the original actors from the Star Wars prequels such as Samuel L Jackson (Mace Windu), Christopher Lee (Count Dooku) and Anthony Daniels (C3PO). Disappointed because the appearance of the characters looked half-frozen and having minimal face expressions stunning the emotional impact of the story, the plot is tedious in the first part and the excitement only started to pick up in the later part. Jabba the Hut having a son seem contrived for the sake of a Star Wars storyline. Jabba the Hut's gay uncle is irritating to say the least. The film as a whole felt just like another episode of a cartoon series on TV but in fairness, the return of the Star Wars universe in the guise of 'The Clone Wars' made its presence felt once again making the kid in all of us gleeful with joy.
Snapshot (above), I don't know what this Tie Fighter pilot is anachronistically doing inside the 'The Clone Wars' Atrium at the SM Mall of Asia because his appearance is at the end of the Clone Wars specifically in 'Episode IV: A New Hope'.
Now this Stormtrooper is anachronistically correct
Snapshot (above) taken at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium area where 'The Clone Wars' action figures are sold along with the Jedi toy lightsabers, actually the one I am holding is a real lightsabersaber...shhhh.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Plot storyline: 2/5
Music and Audio: 4/5
Animation: 3/5
My Movie Overall Rating: 3/5 Biscuits !
