Move over GMA 7 and ABS-CBN, there's a new and refurbished TV station in town. It's called TV5 Philippines, a refurbished ABC 5 under a management consultancy agreement, MPB Primedia Inc., local subsidiary of the Malaysian conglomerate Media Prima Berhad with ABC 5 head Antonio “Tonyboy” Cojuangco still as CEO and Christopher Sy, MPB Primedia CEO.
Exciting shows on TV5 includes
1. 'TALENTADONG PINOY', a talent search hosted by Ryan Agoncillo which airs Saturday at 6pm.
2. 'MY MVP', a reality program hosted by Bayani Agbayani, Jason Webb and Norman Black airs every Sunday at 6 p.m.
3. 'PHILIPPINES' SCARIEST CHALLENGE' hosted by Jomari Yllana, a scarefest inside haunted houses airs Friday at 6p.m.
4. 'MYS MATCH', a dating game show hosted by Iya Villania and Archie Alemania airs on Mondays at 10 p.m.
5. 'LOKOMOKO', a gag show airs Friday at 10 p.m. (earlier timeslot than GMA 7's Bubble Gang)
6. 'OGAGS', a situtional comedy with Brazilian models Arianna and Diana airs Wednesday at 10 p.m.
7. 'SHALL WE DANCE' dance show hosted by Lucy Torres now includes hunk models and former Pinoy Big Brother housemates Victor Basa and Jon Avila as co-hosts.
8. 'MIDNIGHT DJ', a horror series with Paolo Contis, Desiree del Valle and Jenny Miller airs Mondays at 7 p.m.
9. 'LOVE BOOK PRESENTS', a TV adaptation of various best-selling stories from Summit Publications airs Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
10. 'HUSH HUSH', a drama series about the exciting world inside a talent agency which stars Ina Feleo, Krista Ranillo, Bernard Palanca, Dominic Ochoa, Joem Bascon and Valeen Montenegro on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
11. 'LIPGLOSS', a teen series with young stars Saab Magalona, Maxine Eve Eigenmann, Rodjun Cruz, Kevin Lapena, Fred Payawal, Mikee Lee, Mary Grace Perido, Charing Suzara, Miki Han, Sam Concepcion and Cheska Ortega airs Saturday at 5 p.m.
12. 'RAKISTA', a series about the struggles of a promising rock band airs Thursday at 7 p.m.
13. 'BATANG X' a redux of the 1990s hit by Peque Gallaga and Lore Reyes airs Fridays at 7 p.m.
