Dept. of Health Condemns Tobacco (Philip Morris) Sponsorship on ERASERHEADS Reunion Concert on August 30, 2008 - Video Aug 6, 2008

The Dept. of Health (DOH) and Tobacco Alliance Philippines condemns the Tobacco sponsorship of the Eraserheads Reunion Concert. The tobacco company that was said to be the sponsor of the Eraserheads reunion concert is Philip Morris. Republic Act 9211 Sec. 26 ... cigarette and tobacco companies are hereby prohited from sponsoring any sport, concert or cultural event... where such sponsorship shall require or involve the advertisement or promotion of any cigarette company, tobacco product, tobacco use, name, logo.... The Eraserheads has a bigger responsibility as idols among the youths and they should set as an example.
