Earth Day is a name used for two different observances, both held annually during spring in the northern hemisphere, and autumn in the southern hemisphere. These are intended to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's environment. The United Nations celebrates an Earth Day each year on the March equinox, a tradition which was founded by peace activist John McConnell in 1969. A second Earth Day, which was founded by US politician Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in in the late 1960s.
Just want to post a series of icons that gotten 'GREEN' today.
Disney Channel logo artistically cover its logo with green vines and leaves as shown above photo, it's Hannah Montana !
Even the Yahoo! icon turned GREEN ! that's incredible, even the Incredible Hulk would turn envy.
The YouTube logo has its global green too instead of the usual red color.
'INCONVENIENT TRUTH' by Al Gore is currently showing on HBO Asia as I type this posting !
The Philippines has its share of 'green' awareness by showing its documentary on GMA-7 last April 20, 2008.
