So, the Manny Pacquiao vs. David Diaz came into fruition, in fact it already has a set date - June 28, 2008 to be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The fight is dubbed as "Lethal Combination", it's a championship bout with defending WBC Lightweight Champion David Diaz and Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao as the challenger. Manny Pacquiao already had won the WBC Super Featherweight belt from Juan Manuel Marquez in a close split decision last March 15, 2008 also held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, Manny will now move up to the Lightweight division to challenge David Diaz. Very lucrative move for Manny and for Bob Arum, Top Rank promoter. The fight will be another classic bout in the making.
